Abbey Oot, LCSW
Abigail Oot is passionate about helping children, adolescents, and parents achieve their fullest potential. She creates a safe and collaborative environment by practicing a warm and non-judgmental approach. While she most often works through a psychodynamic lens, she also pulls other modalities such as motivational interviewing and play therapy. When working with children, Abigail uses play, humor, and other behavioral methods as tools to make children feel comfortable and heard. Abigail helps adolescents and parents identify patterns in emotions, thoughts and beliefs, which often first present in childhood, in order to gain insight to areas of growth and strengths.

Abigail, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, earned her Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. She has clinical experience working in outpatient settings such as the Jewish Board with diverse populations of children, teens, and adults struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression and relational difficulties. Additionally, Abigail is a candidate at the William Alanson White Institute in their 3-year Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Post Masters program.
